Cryosurgery Verruca Treatment
Affected by verrucas or warts? Ask us how cryosurgery could help you.
If you’re troubled by verrucas or warts, you’ll know how much they can affect your everyday life. We offer cryosurgery treatment for verrucas at our We Fix Feet Chiropody, Podiatry and Foot Health Care clinics in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.
Verrucas (plantar warts) are small skin lesions which can appear on the soles of the feet, heels or toes. Less commonly known as plantar warts, verrucas are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). While verrucas are harmless in themselves, they are very infectious and can also be painful under pressure.
Sensitive and effective verruca treatments
Some verrucas will die off naturally over time. However, as well as being highly infectious, a verruca can be a cause of persistent irritation. We offer cryosurgery treatment for verrucas for adults and children. Cryosurgery is a safe process in which a very cold substance is applied onto the verruca, using liquid cryogen at -89°C. We use cryosurgery because it is a straightforward procedure which minimises disruption for our clients. We work hard to minimise any potential discomfort following cryosurgery for verrucas/warts. However, patients may experience some discomfort following their cryosurgery treatment and occasional blistering of the skin may occur where the freeze-burn has been applied to the viral skin lesion.
